Why we call it The Greenhouse
A greenhouse is where seeds become seedlings, and seedlings become plants strong enough to be planted out into the world. We see prayer the same way — a sheltered place to grow roots deep into the love of God before we're sent back out into everyday life.
It's also, quite simply, a green house — our green house — with a floor of grass, echoing the garden where God first walked with the people he made. This is an explicitly Christian, ecumenical space: open to every church and to anyone who has never prayed before.
